Ryan Phillips

Chief Executive Officer

Ryan Phillips is the Chief Executive Officer of Axis Energy Services. He brings over 20 years of oilfield services experience across well servicing, pressure pumping, and cementing.

He joined Axis’s Board of Directors in 2018 and became CEO in 2022. In this role, he oversees all business lines and geographies.

Ryan leads with a hands-on approach. He frequently visits field locations to reinforce expectations, meet with crews, and align commercial commitments with dependable execution.

Prior to joining Axis, Phillips spent 15 years at Halliburton. He started in the field as a Frac Engineer and progressed through multiple leadership roles. These roles included Area Frac Manager, Region Cementing Manager, and Permian Basin Operations Manager. In his final role, he held accountability for all product lines in the Permian Basin.

As an engineer, Ryan focuses on optimizing well servicing through data-driven technology and purpose-engineered equipment. He also promotes a culture of clarity, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Phyllips holds an MBA from Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. He also earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University.

Chris Boone

Chief Financial Officer

Chris Boone serves as Chief Financial Officer for Axis Energy Services. He leads all accounting, financial planning, and reporting processes. He also oversees insurance, treasury, and finance programs.

Before joining Axis, Boone served as CFO at National Energy Services Reunited from 2019 to 2022. He then served as Interim CFO at Stratum Reservoir from 2018 to 2019.

Earlier, he served as Senior Vice President and CFO at Tesco Corporation from 2014 to 2017. From 1993 to 2013, Boone held multiple operational and financial roles at Lufkin Industries. His most recent role there was Vice President and CFO from 2008 to 2013.

Boone earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Washington and Lee University. He also holds an MBA in International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management.

Christine Stroud

General Counsel

Christine Stroud serves as General Counsel for Axis Energy Services. She provides strategic counsel on legal, business, and operational matters. She also advises the company and its board of directors.

Stroud brings 16 years of experience as an attorney in the oil and gas industry. She has worked across both international and domestic oilfield services and E&P operations.

She previously served as Counsel for XTO Energy. She also served as General Counsel for Riata Corporate Group and its affiliated E&P and service companies.

Before Axis, Stroud owned and operated a law firm. She provided consulting services for in-house legal departments.

Stroud earned a Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University. She also holds a J.D. from Texas Tech School of Law.

Clay Holland

Chief Operating Officer

Clay Holland serves as Chief Operating Officer at Axis Energy Services. He oversees operations, supports customer relationships, and drives the company’s financial goals and strategic vision.

He works closely with operations leaders to advance key initiatives and deliver results. He maintains a strong focus on safety management and brings more than 10 years of experience in oilfield services.

Holland has extensive experience managing well servicing operations. Before joining Axis, he held several leadership roles. Most recently, he served as East Texas Regional Manager for ClearWell Dynamics.

Previously, he worked at Key Energy Services in roles ranging from District Manager to Director of Gulf Coast Operations. He also held various operational roles at Halliburton.

Holland earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Sam Houston State University. He also holds a master’s degree in Legal Studies, Energy, Oil and Gas Law from Texas A&M University.
