Axis Fishing Services performed a successful casing exit job for a valued customer in East Texas by setting a whipstock and cutting a window in 9-5/8” casing. The customer was able to drill a horizontal lateral in an existing vertical well and save on overall cost. Additionally, the customer had zero problems running packed directional bottom-hole assemblies in and out of the window. In many cases, this process can be a quicker and less expensive option for operators who want to start out at a certain depth with an existing well by drilling a new lateral and boosting their production levels.
