Axis Energy Services continues to expand the utilization of our equipment to offer the most effective value for our customers. Our Pressure Control Services Division recently performed two successful production tubing installations for customers in the Permian using our 170K Hybrid Snubbing Unit, with its four-slip system, and one of our 10K blowout preventer (BOP) stacks, which together have the combined capability of running rig-assisted or standalone snubbing for quick rig up jobs to complete tubing installs with its one-piece pick-up design.

Once rigged up, they are able to swing over to the next well by using a crane while only having to break one connection on the stack and bolt up to the next well. Our hybrid units are compact and rig up in a fraction of the time it takes a traditional standalone unit.

“When we go standalone, it allows for a small footprint on tight multi-well pads while other operations are being conducted,” says Jonathan Underwood, Operations Manager of Axis Pressure Control in West Texas. “With a smaller footprint, less people on location, and a quick rig up, the capability to swing over to the next well is quicker.”
