Axis Energy Services was pleased to be a scholarship sponsor at the 3^rd Annual AADE/SPE/API Golf Blowout at Falconhead Golf Club in Austin last Friday. The sold-out event raises money for the scholarship funds of three local industry organizations: the American Association of Drilling Engineers – Central Texas Chapter, the Society of Petroleum Engineers – Balcones Section, and the San Antonio Chapter of the American Petroleum Institute. We enjoyed the opportunity to gather with colleagues for some fun!

Robert Chavez, Business Development Manager, is the current president of AADE Central Texas Chapter and says this was the first year for bringing these three organizations together, and that they tripled the number of teams from the event’s first year. Even with the huge turnout, though, the tournament coordinators and everyone involved implemented safe practices, such as social distancing and masks, and there was plenty of hand sanitizer to go around!

The scholarship fundraiser supports students from UT Austin and TAMU Kingsville, and members from the AADE student sections also attended and were able to network with other industry professionals.
