As a proud member company of the Association of Energy Service Companies (AESC), Axis Energy Services has been a strong advocate for this organization and its promotion of energy services companies across the United States.
AESC does more than provide networking activities for energy services companies across the oil and gas industry; it also provides program support to its more than 500 company members in various opportunities. One of those opportunities that is beneficial to the AESC company members is the AESC Scholarship Program. This program started small more than three decades ago and has grown to 19 national chapters across the U.S. and many supporting local chapters in national regions. The AESC 2019 Scholarship Program is intended to provide educational assistance to an employee, spouse, child or other legal dependent of an employee of a National AESC member company, such as Axis Energy Services, and thereby encourages him or her to continue education past the high school level, such as college, technical and trade schools, and certification programs.
The AESC Scholarship Committee chooses scholarship awards and considers the student’s academic record, school and external curricular activities, and community support. The scholarship award is renewed up to four years for each student based on certain academic criteria to be maintained each semester.
Axis is proud to announce that two children of Axis employee Samuel Mota, a mechanic in our Odessa facility, were among the 2019 AESC Scholarship recipients and awarded scholarship money toward their college education starting in the Fall 2019 semester.
“We are very pleased that two deserving students, who are the children of one of our employees, received scholarships from the AESC. We are thankful to the AESC for their scholarship efforts and we wish the students the very best in their college courses,” says Dirk Lee, President of Axis Energy Services.
Congratulations to Mr. Samuel Mota and his two children on their scholarship achievements and for taking the first step in participating in the 2019 AESC Scholarship Program. Axis wishes both students great success in their academic futures!
