It’s the “Giving Season” and we’re proud to say our employees are in the spirit! Axis partnered with the Longview Rotary Club last week by holding a food/necessities drive to support local charities that serve citizens in Longview and surrounding areas during this unprecedented year.
Our employees wanted to “pay it back” by gathering non-perishable food and other necessary items to donate in support of those in need. Two Axis employees volunteered with their children to drop off collections at the local East Texas Rotary Club location. Thank you to Shellye Burlison and her son Christopher as well as Sarah Smith and her son SJ for dropping off supplies on Saturday. Other employees will also be dropping off a truckload of supplies this week.
The items collected will benefit the following local charities: Newgate Mission, Hiway 80 Rescue Mission, Longview Community Ministries, and Longview Dream Center.
The Rotary Club of Longview is the original service club of Gregg County. The club has generated a rich legacy of service in the decades since its charter was issued May 1, 1920 and its membership numbers more than 100 men and women who embrace the Rotary theme of “Service Above Self.”
Thanks to all our employees who participated in this year’s food drive!
